Transitional Housing, an interfaith group responding to people with housing needs, works with groups to help create, locate, and enter affordable housing.
Transitional Housing, Inc. started as a meeting of concerned people and local churches who wanted to help eliminate homelessness in Steele County. The group looked into ways to best serve the homeless population and decided on a transitional housing approach. In 2000, Steele County Transitional Housing (SCTH) was incorporated as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization and has been serving people experiencing homelessness since. Meet the board of directors!
On the street, I saw a small girl, cold and shivering in a thin dress, with little hope of a decent meal. I became angry and said to God, "Why don't you do something?"
That night God replied, "I have! I made you!"
